- We supply best quality seasoned hardwood logs.
- All our wood comes from woodlands on local estates and farms, where it has been felled as part of the long term woodland management cycle both to enhance biodiversity and timber potential.
The timber is felled well in advance, when the sap is down, and left to air dry, this is known as seasoning, only then will it burn hot and clean on your open fire or wood-burner. After a period of seasoning, we cutup and split the timber into logs during the summer months. We then store it in our barns, where it continues to season and dry out to below 20% moisture content. Once dry enough we package the logs into specially designed net bags. Each bag holds approximately 1 loose cubic metre of logs. We do this to ensure consistency of quantity and quality.
Our standard logs are 10 inches (25cm) long we also cut some smaller logs at 8 inches (20cm) for small wood burners and fireplaces, other sizes are available by special request.
We offer free delivery within 8 miles of Hook Norton as the crow flies. A small charge will be applied for distances greater than this.
We are happy to stack your logs in a garage, log store or garden shed for which we will make a charge starting at £30 /hour, depending on the distance from our truck and the time taken.
We presently charge £100.00 for one approximate cubic metre load of logs tipped in your drive.
